Backcountry Access Policies
Find links to backcountry access policies or information for tourers at various ski areas across New Zealand.
Follow the link to the operators relevant webpage or document, in some cases you'll need to scroll to find it if it's amongst other information. Please respect the policies of each ski area for the safety of yourself, ski area staff, and other users. When in doubt, contact the ski area in advance, and on the day make sure to check in with relevant on-site contacts to leave your intentions and make your presence known.
For operators, if you'd like to update/amend information, provide details such as contact numbers or email, or add your fields information to the list below, please contact tom.harris@mountainsafety.org.nz.
